Kristin Wolford lives in the Dominican Republic with her husband Joselo and two young boys, Elliot and Evan. She loves working with young people, encouraging them in their walk with Christ and empowering them to use their gifts and talents in the Kingdom of God.
To glorify God and make disciples as we serve the community with educational programs, volunteer opportunities and high-quality sustainable projects.
As branches connected to the vine (which is Christ), we produce fruit that last. We contribute to community development by offering leadership training, employment opportunities, bible studies, family and children’s programming. We teach others to follow the example of Christ. We unite, equip and empower others to respond to needs in their communities and create sustainable solutions. We impact even more communities by sending capable leaders to replicate our model, stimulate transformation and inspire even more people to become agents of change.
In 2011, Kristin Wolford began working with a group of young adults from Iglesia Centro Cristiano Shalom in Hato Mayor del Rey. She helped these young adults start a ministry that works with children living in poverty in their cities. Today, this ministry includes over 30 young adults from four cities who travel to nine different neighborhoods to reach over 300 children on Saturday afternoons.
These positive Christian role models offer hope to children living in very difficult economic conditions through prayer and worship, Bible stories, games, crafts, extra help with reading, writing and arithmetic, a snack and ongoing relationships. The young leaders don’t stop there, however. In response to needs of the COVID-19 pandemic and a desire to go deeper with children and families, we’ve developed a new mentorship program for children from single-parent homes or living with extended family. Throughout the week, one of our teacher-mentors visits children and works one-on-one with them to set personal goals, help with homework, study the Bible, encourage them and spend time enjoying one another through play.
God is doing so many wonderful things in and through this ministry. The young adults are growing in tremendous ways in their faith and as Christian leaders, and they are influencing the lives of so many children and their families for Christ.
We are thrilled to announce the promotion of two tremendous leaders in our ministry.

Sustainability Project – Water Purification Center
Our launch team is working hard, and construction is nearly complete. We expect to open our water center year-end 2020. This small business will provide safe drinking for people in our city and become an economic engine for our ministry. Our timely delivery service and excellent customer care will set us apart. With the funds earned, we expect to be able to provide full-time jobs for at least nine people, sustain our ministry and expand to reach even more children, youth and families for Christ.
To donate towards this project specifically, please write “RVW” or “Ramas Vivas Water” in the comments box at the bottom of our donation form.
A note about our funding
