Easter in Romania

ALL, Christ for Romania

Luke 24:44-49

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Christ is Risen!,

He is Risen indeed. This is the traditional way people greet one another here in Romania around Easter time. It's kind of like when people say "Merry Christmas" in the States. It's a very nice custom, and unlike many of the un-Biblical customs of the Orthodox religion, this is one I like.

Here in Romania we celebrate Easter on the 5th of May this year.

Below you can find a couple of prayer and praise requests:
Please pray for God's Spirit to work and give repentance and faith the lost here in Romania and throughout the world.
Please pray for our family's health. This must get to be a boring and old prayer request for you, but we really need it. We all have "pink eye" and colds now. I hoped spring would bring some health to us (especially and Demetrius and I as we were sick all winter).
Please pray for God to use an article I wrote for a South African magazine. The article is about atheism but, really is an exposition of a few verses in Romans 1. Lord willing, I'll attach it and you can read it yourself. (See next  posting)
Please pray for Andrea and the baby. She's pretty worn out. This baby is huge and she's still got some time to go. The baby's due date is August 2nd.
We've been through a lot, and really need God's help, provision, and guidance. Please pray for Him to lead us.
Praise God for another couple of chances to preach in church. Here is one of the sermons in English and Romanian:
Praise God for His timely provision. This last month saw my hard drive and monitor break on our computer. It was unexpected, but we have been able to replace them with something better. Please pray for God's provision for us.

Thank you for your love, and care. May God keep you I and the rest of His people,
Jonathan, Andrea, Hannah, Demetrius, & Baby
1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
