After finishing Theological Biblical Seminary in Croatia and Biblical Counseling at Master’s University, we prayed that the Lord would lead us to a place/church where He wants us to serve. God has given me and my wife a heart to serve Him, pray for the lost, and love on His people. There are many churches in Croatia that are without pastors, as was the one to which we have been called.
We are serving in Zadar with our two little children: Luka Joel, born in 2018, and Noela Ruta, born in 2020. In 2020 our family moved to this beautiful Dalmatian town to serve in a local Baptist church. I am shepherding a church flock that has about 60 members, plus friends and children.
Zadar is a tourist area with around 75,000 people. It is surrounded by smaller tourist towns like Biograd, and some islands (Ugljan, Pašman). These are all potential places for starting solid Bible study groups (and a church plant one day), since the church itself has some members that live there. I am doing pastoral ministry including preaching, counseling, teaching men, leading the youth, etc. The most important thing right now is equipping the church through solid Bible teaching and preparing the people to evangelize others.
Irena is leading a teenage ladies’ group and counseling/discipling young moms, etc. There are many opportunities for us to serve and get to know people in Zadar. It is the only Baptist church in this region, and the area for planting seeds is huge. This area of Dalmatia is lacking a solid and sound Bible teaching, and my prayer is that the Lord will use me, my family, and our church to evangelize the lost.
The church provides a minimal salary for me as their pastor, but the amount is not enough to provide for our basic monthly needs. For our ministry to last, we depend on your fervent prayers and consistent financial contributions.
If you would like to have a part in our ministry and support what the Lord is doing in Dalmatia, Croatia, please prayerfully consider helping us financially. We are thankful that you have taken the time to read this and pray for us. May the Lord bless you!
