We are excited about what God is doing among Latinos here in the Midwest! God has led us to partner with evangelical Latino church plants that are seeking help with evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development. We have chosen the name HOLA (Hispanic Outreach and Leadership Alliance) Ministries to help describe what we do. We serve Latino churches by sharing the gospel, teaching English classes, teaching Sunday school, and training young leaders. We are committed to sharing and teaching God’s Word in creative and impactful ways. We enjoy seeing God change lives for His glory!
The current Latino church plant that we are partnering with is located in Baldwin, Wisconsin, a rural town in St. Croix County. About 2,000 Latinos live in St. Croix County, and very few of them are evangelical Christians. Many of the Latinos in the area are from Southern Mexico and Southern Ecuador, which are still unreached. A large number of the Latinos whom God has brought into our lives are from Loja, Ecuador, which is only 1% evangelical.
Lord willing, we would like the Latino church to have annual mission trips to Loja. During our time working with the Latino church in Baldwin, God has used us to lead Latinos to Christ and to help get them connected to the church. Besides our work at the church’s location, we enjoy building relationships with Latinos by having dinner with them and by playing soccer and volleyball with them. God is doing great things at the Latino church in Baldwin!
Before serving with Latinos in western Wisconsin, we served for four years as missionaries in Montevideo, Uruguay. God used us to help three struggling churches become healthy and growing churches that are thriving today.
God confirmed our call to be missionaries when we went on three mission trips to Brazil. God used us to lead many young people to Christ and to train Brazilian leaders in evangelism.
We greatly appreciate your heartfelt prayers and generous support! We could not serve the Lord effectively without your partnership! Thank you!
