1 Peter 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
It is difficult to write a 'newsy' monthly letter when it seems mostly routine, daily events occur. In the absence of a 'Pastor', our church is relying on us two Elders to shepherd them forward as well as deal with a difficult situation. Nonetheless, we manage to conduct the wider Europe and Africa opportunities from a distance. This, however, has been handicapped by our entire email system going down over the last several weeks! Yes, we are computer savvy but this problem has been seemingly incomprehensible and taxing! Thankfully we have MailChimp for newsletters.
Having committed to remain in Buckingham most of 2014, we do plan on an extended time in Romania and Bulgaria August and September, and even work toward a conference for national workers of the Balkan countries next year - a rather large project we have never attempted before. The Lord is good to keep us on track amidst the various challenges; but we ask you to pray we can keep fresh in spirit, energy and focus while we 'multi-task' without a break. And, if you have sent us an email . . . so sorry - it (or the reply) is in the sky. . . somewhere! PRAY WITH US.
CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR UKRAINE. Our son, Ben, and Tanya revisited their home in Kiev this month. As you know, they are living in Abingdon, England, trying to bring everyone in their family under one country - permanent British residence visa or citizenship. Meanwhile, the lease on their Kiev apartment runs out and a new tenant has to be secured. Valuable time will be spent with their church friends, some of whom have volunteered for Ukraine's army to save the country during uncertain times. We are concerned for their safety, and we are caring for the three children while the parents are away. We have PIEI national missionaries in Ukraine. PRAY FOR UKRAINE
